Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-09-07
This privacy policy applies to the following Wear OS watch face apps (collectively, "the Apps"), published by Vellum Watch:
| App | Package name |
|---|---|
| Clarity | watch.vellum.clarity |
| Pulse | watch.vellum.pulse |
| Solstice | watch.vellum.solstice |
| Tide | watch.vellum.tide |
Summary
The Apps do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no network connections of any kind. Everything the Apps display is rendered locally, directly on your watch.
What the Apps show, and where that data comes from
Each app displays a small number of customizable "complication" slots (for example: steps, heart rate, calories, battery level, or weather) alongside the time. You choose what appears in each slot using your watch's own built-in customization screen.
The data shown in those slots comes from Wear OS's own complications system and from whatever data-source app you personally choose to assign to a slot (for example, your phone's or watch's built-in fitness/health tracker, or a weather app you've installed). The Apps themselves do not read sensors directly, do not run any background service, and have no code path that stores or transmits this data anywhere — they simply render whatever value the operating system hands them for display, the same way any other watch face on the platform does.
If you assign a slot to a health or fitness data source, the privacy practices of that data source's own app/provider apply to how that underlying data is collected and handled — this policy covers only the Apps themselves, which never see or process that data beyond displaying it on screen.
Permissions
The Apps request no Android permissions. Heart-rate, step-count and every other value shown in a slot is supplied by the data-source app you assign (which holds its own sensor permissions) through Wear OS's complication system; the Apps only render what the system hands them.
Data sharing
The Apps do not share any data with third parties, because the Apps do not collect or have access to any data beyond what is described above.
Data retention
The Apps do not store any data. There is nothing to retain or delete.
Children's privacy
The Apps are not directed at children under 13 and do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same location with a new effective date.
